Flipkart Profit Calculator

Flipkart charges 0% commission on fashion at any price, but non-fashion categories still carry real commission plus a fixed fee and collection fee. This calculator separates the two instead of quoting one blended rate.

Note: Flipkart's Darwin seller-tier fee discounts (Platinum/Gold/Silver/Bronze) aren't modeled here — there's no public, sourced tier-fee table to build them on accurately yet. The fixed fee below is a representative mid-point; check your Seller Hub for your tier's exact number.

How we calculated this

We model your full order funnel — cancellations, then RTO, then returns — before counting any revenue. Product cost, marketplace commission and GST are only charged on orders that actually sold through (Realized units); packaging and forward shipping are charged on everything you dispatch, including orders that come back. Contribution Profit excludes fixed overhead; Operating Profit includes it.

Sourced defaults in use

Marketplace commission defaultreliable secondary

Verified 2026-10-20 · Representative mid-point of the cited 3-12% range for consumer electronics above ₹1,000 (mobiles run lower, ~2-5%; home & kitchen runs higher, ~8-15%).

Marketplace fixed fee defaultreliable secondary

Verified 2026-10-20 · Representative mid-point of the cited ₹8-₹100 slab range, which depends on price band, fulfilment mode (NFBF runs higher than FBF), and Darwin seller tier (Platinum: base minus up to ₹30; Gold/Silver: base; Bronze: base plus ₹10). Treat as a rough default, not a quote — true seller-tier-specific fee tables are not sourced in this registry (see IMPLEMENTATION_PLAN.md Phase 9+).

GST rate defaultreliable secondary

Verified 2026-10-20 · Readymade garments at or under ₹2,500/piece. Threshold was ₹1,000 before the Sept 2025 GST 2.0 rationalisation.

All figures are modeled estimates. Actual marketplace fees, GST treatment and shipping rates vary by seller agreement and change over time — verify against your own seller dashboard before making pricing decisions.

FAQ
Is Flipkart really 0% commission on all fashion?

Yes, as of the July 2026 policy change — the previous ₹1,000 price ceiling was removed entirely, so fashion items of any price carry 0% commission. Non-fashion categories still carry real commission (3-12% for electronics in this registry).

If commission is 0%, why isn't this product's profit higher?

Commission is only one fee. The fixed fee, collection fee (payment processing), COD handling, RTO/return shipping, GST and ad spend all still apply regardless of category — 0% commission reduces the drag, it doesn't eliminate it.

What's the collection fee?

Flipkart's payment-processing charge — roughly 1.8-2% for prepaid orders and 2-3% for COD, higher than prepaid due to cash-handling overhead.
